That's what I told Sweetie, and she did get into the car - in the driver's seat, pushing me over to the passenger side!

No shit, Dick Tracy. I would have been a customer for that car! I can just imagine beautiful Sweetie at the wheel as we drive through the redwoods and down along the coast, wind in her hair and me with a big shit-eating grin on my face. But I have to file that thought under notgonnahappen.com.
Back in the 1950s and 1960s car manufacturers would have been more likely to put that car in production. Often they would be successful even though sometimes an unfortunately Edsel would appear. But at least they had some cojones. Today they want the big numbers and are too timid to put out an exciting car. Then the auto manufacturers wonder why they have to close down historic brands like Pontiac, Olds, Plymouth, and Mercury.
That's why I choose to live my automotive dreams in the Good Old Days of American Automobiles. The third gen Marauder came so close to the spirit of the original but, sadly, no cigar.
