On The Turntable In 1967: 'A Whiter Shade Of Pale' - Procol Harum
Which has no significance to this photo except I like the song.

The best way to "end" up a photo presentation of a big car is with a butt photo, I always say. Butt really, I do think that the styling of some cars' nether ends can be quite sexy, although maybe not the butt of this 1967 Imperial Crown convertible. Pretty much straight lines with weak imitation Cadillac style fins at each side, and a big circle with the Imperial bird in the middle. Flipping the bird to those who we have just passed! No, we don't do that, we just smile as we go by.

So let's set the mood of the year 1967 by this lineup of the top 10 TV shows:
1. The Andy Griffith Show (CBS)
2. The Lucy Show (CBS)
3. Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C. (CBS)
4. Gunsmoke (CBS)
5. Family Affair (CBS)
6. Bonanza (NBC)
7. The Red Skelton Show (CBS)
8. The Dean Martin Show (NBC)
9. The Jackie Gleason Show (CBS)
10. Bewitched (ABC)

How many of these do you like? I didn't care much for the Andy Griffith or Gomer Pyle shows, and even though I loved Lucy I had stopped watching it by then. Gunsmoke and Bonanza were old friends, and I was and still am a big fan of Red Skelton, Dean Martin and Jackie Gleason.

But my secret crush was for Elizabeth Montgomery who played dumbass Darren's wife on Bewitched. Don't tell Sweetie but I thought Samantha Stephens was one hot looking little witch. She should have married me, I would have let her do all the witchcraft she wanted. Dumb ol' Darren had no idea how easy he could have had it. Darren was one of those mad men of the day but he wasn't very smart.

"Go ahead Sam, conjure up me an Imperial convertible today! Tomorrow, how about a nice Dodge Coronet R/T Hemi, or next year's Dodge Charger!" Oh could I have had fun with a wife like Samantha! :D

Sadly, Elizabeth Montgomery died of cancer in 1995.

And no reality shows! How awesome is that! Grew up with those shows...mostly in re-runs. Procal Harum "Whiter Shade of Pale"; can't think of another Hammond Organ sound as textural as that!
