Description

On The Turntable in 1966: 'I'm A Believer' - The Monkees
I'm not much of a Monkees fan but I like this song, and the remake by Smashmouth.

One of the options for the 1966 Mustang was the Rally Pac which added the two pods, one on each side of the steering column containing a clock and a tachometer. One might quibble about the small tach but the purpose of this car was stylin', not tire shredding at the dragstrip. And it does have an automatic transmission. So just relax and enjoy the coolness. Also note AM/FM radio. The 60s opened with almost all car radios having only the AM band but by the end the AM/FM band radio was the way to go.

The cupholders are part of an aftermarket add-on to the console, adding a compartment and middle armrest and the cupholders. In the 1960s real men and women didn't need no stinking cupholders, the lack of which resulted in floor mats often stained by spilled coffee.

If Sweetie and I were on the road in this sweet Mustang, you might hear the sounds of "I'm A Believer in FM stereo playing on our FoMoCo radio as we glide by. Sweetie might wave to you too, blond hair flying in the wind with the top down.
